About Course
University of StrathclydeDescription
Why join the course?
In times of shrinking public services, the task of caring for vulnerable children has never been more challenging. In this free online course, we’ll help you explore some of the issues involved.
We’ll consider what we mean by risk and vulnerability, as well as how we define good enough parenting. We’ll think about how children grow and develop, and how we can provide them with meaningful relationships and attachments.
We’ll go on to learn about the characteristics that define different methods of practice and consider different possible interventions.
We’ll conclude by reflecting on the current politics of caring for vulnerable children in a context of budget cuts and increasing child poverty.

End of course
The course taught us what risk and vulnerability mean, and what it means to be a "good enough parent". It reminds us to think about how children grow and develop and how we parents should provide meaningful relationships and attachments to our children. Good course.
In today's society, the task of taking care of vulnerable children has never been more challenging. Both parents and teachers should take good care of vulnerable children and pay attention to their inner development.
What a heart-warming course. Vulnerable children around the world need more love.
The debate in this course about the caring problems in today's society, with the increasing cases of teenagers going astray, ultimately parents' responsibility is still very important. This course is worth every parent to learn.
