• Stages of BIM implementation

• The principles of human behaviour and its impact on BIM implementation

• Change management strategies for effective BIM integration

• Benefits of BIM for the AEC industry

• Training and learning strategies

Who will you learn with?

Dr Abdullahi Ahmed

An associate professor and chartered engineer, Dr Ahmed is an experienced lecturer in building information modelling (BIM) and energy modelling.

Drivers for BIM?

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is one of a number of solutions to the global issues concerning the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. In this section, we'll explore its drivers.

Global BIM implementation levels?

It is not easy to determine the number of BIM levels at a global level. However, regions and countries design levels relevant to their local areas’ needs. This section explores various levels of BIM as applied globally.

The requirements for BIM implementation?

Building Information Modelling (BIM) implementation requires organisational change in a number of areas. This affects organisational culture, processes, and the way people and teams work together.

Summary activities?

Bring your learning together and reflect on your learning so far. Make notes on the big key points that you learned this course. Finally begin to prepare for the themes that you will be learning next course.

I've got lot of new information, defenitely i will continue study and search about BIM for more experience.

I see that BIM is an excellent tool, especially for MEP coordination. I agree that construction companies should implement this tool to have an edge over companies that hesitate.

I needed this information to enhance my knowledge when speaking to potential client in the AEC industry as I am a total newbie.

Well presented information, not only in the structuring of it, but also in how much is included in the material.
